All the mechanics from the company that wanna join will have to post their resume soon. So far all I know is that I'll be feed and have my own place for free...and that I have to work 21 consecutive days with a minimum of 10 hours per day, then I get 1 week off and go back to Montreal. Then I do 21 days...you know the rest. The rumors says that you get payed 5$/hr more for this, but that's all we know. We don't know what kind of trucks they have, what equipement/tools they got in the garage, hell do they even have a garage? Do we get payed extra for leaving our home sweet home? Will they pay our overtime? And since it's up north...the weather will be Sub Zero's paradise. I'm tempted to do it...but I feel that they gonna give me the shitty outside jobs...the wad of cash tho, that would be worth it. What do you think oppo?

DO IT
It seems the guys you work with now are dicks.

That got resolved. I (and 5 guys that were with me and felt uneasy with other things going on in the garage) finally opened up to my supervisor. Shit got real. Now everyone is walking a straight line. lol!

I'd love to hear the (most likely) hilarious details, if you don't mind.

Well all I know is that the evening shift guys we're doing their shit all right. The last 2 weeks they were standing near the toolboxes and talk for 20-40 minutes because their shift supervisor wasn't there. No more. Then they used to yell non stop in the garage for no reason. No more. Their supervisor used to be a dick (young 20 yrs old mechanic with new supervisor powers = egocentric dick) and would interrupt your work without saying hello or your name and instead say "Hey, you! Are you done already? I need the space." in such a rude way that you wanna hit him the face. No more. Basicly they don't even look at us anymore (the ones that are concerned.)

That sounds like a fun situation for everyone involved.
If you take this new job would it be relatively easy to go back to the old one?

That's my exact feel....but the extra cash tho...

That's another issue that I don't know. But I think you can come back to your old spot when you want it.

It's always bad though, isn't it?

I have a friend that lives in Ontario that works in Nunavut a few months a year, He makes damn good money and is off for long stretches.

Not that bad. But I never got over 700$ of tax return compared to friends who had 1500$. Last year I payed 700$. This year I just hope I wont pay 5000$...

That would suck. That would be like the worst thing ever.

If only that was the case with us. 21 days straight and only 1 week off?...

Yeah my father kinda scared me on that...he said he had to pay that amount when he made about the same as me. Apparently, employer took care of everything...so I wont have to pay much.

Does not sound like a good deal.
![]() 03/01/2014 at 22:08 |

Well at least there's that. Could it be that..mo money = mo problems?
...No...impossible..

It's always like this. lol. You buy something then you do your budget and realise that you can get something else. When you get it, you can't go out as much...money is tight. You get a better higher payed, more complex, more stressful job. The vicious circle continues til you learn self control. Then and only then you'll never have problem with money.

Self control as an auto enthusiast?
Shit.
